A walk through the beautiful beech woods above Predmeja to Kucelj on the edge of a limestone escarpment that overlooks the Vipava Valley.

Start/Finish – Predmeja

Distance – 9.8km/6miles

Height gain - approx 520m

Time – 3h16min

Grade – Moderate but with a steep initial climb of 320m. Mainly on good paths and tracks

Updates to the 2010, 3rd Edition – There are no updates

Public transport – Although there is a bus service to Predmeja from Col it is not practical for walkers.

Nearest Town/Village – Adjovščina, in the Vipava Valley has hotels, apartments and rooms. There is also a campsite. More information available from the Adjovščina Tourist Information Centre. Idrija – only one hotel is listed for Idrija, the 5* Kendov Manor Hotel, in nearby Spodnja Idrija, about 5km away. There are some apartments, rooms and overnight accommodation available, as well as a Youth Hostel in Idrija. There is no nearby camping site. Both towns have a good range of shops.
