Walk 8 – from Kranjska Gora to the Martuljkovi Waterfalls, from a Walking Guide of Slovenia.

Lying at the base of Špik group of the Julian Alps the Martuljkov Waterfalls are well hidden, the secrets of the lower (spodnji)  falls only accessible through a narrow gorge.  The higher (zgornji) falls require a little more effort to view and are some 250m higher up – we give directions to these falls also.

Grade – easy, mainly on good paths and tracks.

Recommended map(s) – are either the 1:50 000 Triglavski Narodni Park map or the Julijske Alpe vzhodni del (eastern) map published by PZS, who also publish the 1:25 000 Triglav map. There is also a 1:30 000 Kranjska Gora map published by GZS

The nearest camping site is at Gozd Martuljek (4km/2.5km to the east) beside the Hotel Špik (the walk passes this campsite and the lower waterfall is only 20-25 minutes away).
