Walk 26 – a short walk to the waterfall, Slap Pršjak, from a Walking Guide to Slovenia.

A short walk to a hidden gem! A visit to this beautiful waterfall is an ideal leg-stretcher when you are touring.

Start/Finish – at the bridge over the River Pršjak, about 5km from Dolenja Trebuša

Distance – 2.5km/1.6miles

Height gain - approx 150m

Time – 1h05min

Grade – easy, but on narrow paths sometimes above steep drops

Recommended map – is the 1:50 000 Goriška map, published bz GZS

Public transport – no public transport available.

Nearest Towns – Accommodation in Idrija and Cerkno. Only one hotel is listed for Idrija, the 5* Kendov Manor Hotel, in nearby Spodnja Idrija, about 5km away. In Cerkno there is the 3* Cerkno Hotel. There are some apartments, rooms and overnight accommodation available in both towns, as well as a Youth Hostel in Idrija. There is no nearby camping site. Tolmin has at least one hotel, the 3* Hotel Krn, guest houses, apartments, rooms and one small but very pleasant campsite, Kamp Vili, at Volarje. Tolmin has a good range of shops.
