Hmm, is the background-color for these links set to be contrasting to the font
color?

Nice to hear from you. Hope you are doing well. Apologies for the slow response but we have been away in the north of Scotland climbing mountains.
These links don’t have a backgound color set, I’m using “transparent” so that the main backgound image on ‘body’ is visible. The ‘body’ background color is #F3F3F3, an off-white which is also the main content backgound.
I guess I could accurately position a crop from the main image below the links and then put a dark backround color behind that, but it seems like a lot of work!

It wasn’t so hard!
I’ve placed a crop of the background image behind the links and added a dark background colour behind that. Problem solved.
Great. I was wondering whether a completely transparent image for the links might also work.
Mhmm? Not sure. The problem is the very light background colour that I need to blend into the bottom of the background image. If I use a transparent image under the links I cannot place dark background colour there.
I’m sure if my basic CSS div layout was better this would be more simple!
Still, it works now. Can you see a join?
