18. Drežnica waterfalls walks

Walk 18 – discovering the Drežnica waterfalls, from a Walking Guide to Slovenia.
Discover the Drežnica waterfalls and gorges near the picturesque village on a couple of short rambles.

Start/Finish –Drežnica car park
Distance – Two short walks of less than 2.6km/1.6m each
Height gain – approx 400m over the two walks
Time – 2h30min to do both walks
Grade – easy; good paths and tracks, although rough in places and slippery when wet.
Recommended map(s) – are the 1:50 000 Triglavski Narodni Park or either of the Julijske Alpe (vzhodni del – eastern or zahodni del – western) maps, published by PZS.
Equipment – Walking shoes, walking sticks, torch advisable. See our clothing and walking equipment page for more recommendations.

Nearest Town/Village – Kobarid has hotels, apartments, guesthouses and rooms plus two camping sites within walking distance of the town centre. It also has all the necessary food shops, plus cafes and restaurants.
Bovec, to the north, has more accommodation.
